April 2007 - Somerset and End to End

27th and 28th April 2007

Saturday will be a traditional QQ  run of 170 miles starting and finishing in Frome, Somerset, with a rather nice visit (including lunch) to Sammy Miller’s motorcycle museum. Having been there on Saturday and enjoyed a hearty lunch, the folks who did the pre-meeting recce can reassure you that you will not be disappointed.

Adrian has an excellent route planned which is scenic rather than fast.

Then there will be a ride from Land's End to John O'Groats. The End2Enders will be departing on Sunday after our usual meeting and paying of subs. The E2E ride will take place during the following week, and various stops will be planned to ensure that the group stays together.

We met the hotel manager on the recce and he was extremely helpful. We have a dining room to ourselves with room for the band to set-up. It's right next to the bar, which is a bonus.
